Rasmussen Poll: Marriage & Parenthood Still Matters for Most Americans

As per the most recent Rasmussen report, a majority of Americans consider marriage and parenthood is important to their happiness, and think more traditional families would make the country better.

A majority of Americans consider marriage important to their happiness, and think more traditional families would make the country better.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds:
o 70% of American Adults say marriage is important in terms of their personal happiness, including 46% who consider it Very Important.
o Just 24% say marriage isn’t important to their personal happiness.
54% believe America would be a better country if more people had traditional families.
o Twenty-five percent (25%) disagree, while 22% are not sure.
Parenthood is even more important than marriage to most Americans.
o 76% consider being a parent important in terms of their personal happiness, including 55% who say it’s Very Important.
o Only 19% say being a parent is not important to their personal happiness.
