Danny Schwarz was born in Monterrey, Mexico and has fond memories of growing up enjoying the flavors and cuisine of his heritage. After moving to the U.S he spent most of his career in the Tequila and spirits industry managing several brands within the Proximo Spirits portfolio. This experience is what led him to begin traveling and discovering how Mexican snacks were marketed to U.S consumers.
Disappointed in the flavors, stereotyped packaging and poor-quality snacks that represented his home country, he started CHUZA in 2021.
CHUZA is a spicy snacks brand created with 100% Mexican spices and packaged in vibrant bags that resemble the Mayan pyramids. Every touch point of the brand is a celebration of Mexico and a beautiful representation of the culture.
