A major shakeup, as San Diego County's Top Lawyer is out.
Claudia Silva has held the job for nearly three years.
Silva is stepping down 24 hours after a new Democratic majority took control of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors, reports the U/T.
The board called a special session on Wednesday, following a performance evaluation of Silva. Supervisors held deliberations behind closed doors and say the decision to remove Silva involved "personnel matters."
This is the first big political move from the board's newest Democratic majority, which took over Tuesday, with the swearing in of Supervisor Paloma Aguirre. Aguirre won a special election earlier this month.
A closed special session will be held Thursday to discuss the appointment of an acting County Counsel.
