"Look up" as the slogan for the new Superman movie says. If you do, and you're in downtown San Diego for Comic Con, you'll notice huge ads, or "wraps" as they're called, for movies and TV shows wrapped around a number of buildings.
They may catch your attention, but they're also illegal in the City of San Diego.
Last year the city handed out 22-thousand dollars in fines, making the return on investment worth it for studios and marketers.
This year, wraps can be seen for The Walking Dead, Outlander, Star Trek and the new Fantastic Four movie.
According to the Union-Tribune, the main building wrapper, New York-based KAP Media, will have 22 installations this year, down slightly from 25 last year. Other companies are handling the other handful of wraps.
