San Diego Boys Survive Texas Floods

Two boys from San Diego have survived devastating flash floods in Texas.

One of those boys, 11 year old Kaelan Kubena, has been attending the same Summer Camp in Central Texas for more than four years.. Camp Junta is about five miles North of Camp Mystic, where several little girls were reported missing.

He says his camp counselors raced into his cabin about 4AM on Friday to evacuate him and his cabinmates in the rising waters.

NBC 4 reports the counselors had to swim back to save some younger campers who were trapped in the cabin.

The camp is located on the banks of the Guadalupe River, which surged by nearly 30 feet in less than two hours.

Kaelan's friend's sister, who was at Camp Mystic, is safe, but another friend's relative is still missing.
